My Promise to District 68
01
Housing That’s Fair
Everyone deserves a stable, affordable place to call home. I’ll fight back against corporate speculators driving up prices, push for rent stabilization, and expand grants for first-time homebuyers. I know what it’s like to worry about rent or eviction, and I won’t stop until District 68 families have the security they deserve. Mixed-income housing near jobs and transit isn’t just smart—it’s fair. I’ll prioritize development that serves people, not profit. Housing justice is economic justice, and I’ll make it central to our future.
02
Wages That Respect Work
Too many Georgians work full-time and still can’t make ends meet. I’ll fight for a $17 minimum wage tied to inflation, restore unemployment benefits, and expand union-led apprenticeships. When workers thrive, communities thrive. I’ll support small businesses with tax breaks and push for local hiring incentives. Dignified work deserves dignified pay. I’ve seen neighbors struggle under stagnant wages while costs keep rising—and I’m stepping in to deliver change. It’s time we build an economy that works for the people who keep it running.
03
Healthcare That Heals
Healthcare shouldn’t be a privilege—it should be a guarantee. I’ll expand Medicaid, establish a public option, and fight for mental health access across District 68. Families shouldn’t have to choose between prescriptions and groceries. I’ve lived through the stress of limited care options, and I know the toll it takes. I’ll push for lower drug costs, protect rural hospitals, and invest in addiction treatment. Compassion must be the foundation of our system. Real care means affordable, accessible, and comprehensive coverage for every Georgian.
04
Schools That Empower
Education unlocks opportunity. I’ll fully fund Title 1 schools, raise teacher salaries, and support wraparound services like counseling, meals, and afterschool programs. Georgia’s students deserve classrooms that uplift and prepare—not ones built on underfunding and burnout. I’ll expand vocational training, apprenticeships, and dual enrollment so every student can find their path. As a mentor, I’ve seen the potential in young people firsthand. That’s why I’ll keep fighting to make sure our schools reflect the excellence our kids deserve—no matter their zip code.
05
Environments That Protect
Environmental justice starts where people live. I’ll clean up toxic industrial sites, expand electric vehicle infrastructure, and fund solar co-ops to lower energy bills. Pollution hits hardest in working-class neighborhoods, especially Black and rural communities. I’ll invest in green jobs and ensure our climate policies center equity. Georgia’s natural beauty belongs to all of us—and I’ll protect it. Sustainability isn’t just science—it’s survival. Our communities deserve clean air, safe water, and environmental planning that includes everyone, not just developers and politicians.
06
Long-Term Care
I believe government should answer to people—not corporations. I’ll ban corporate PAC donations, create a public financing system for grassroots candidates, and fiercely defend voting rights. That includes fighting gerrymandering, securing early voting, and ensuring ballot access for all. I’ve watched elections erode trust, and I’m committed to restoring it through transparency, ethics, and accountability. If you live in District 68, your voice matters—and I’ll make sure it’s heard. Democracy isn’t just a structure—it’s a commitment to fairness, and I’ll uphold it every step of the way.
